Today, me and Chaim are celebrating our 14th<\/sup> anniversary! We are all living through some crazy times (that needs a post of its own), and as we are all social distancing together and are cooped up at home, I thought it would be fun to include the whole family in an interactive post. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaim and I interviewed our kids (mostly about us) and here is what they said, all answers are unfiltered and unedited. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were able to talk to Shosh and ask her a few of the questions as well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question:<\/strong> Chaya<\/strong>, how do you know that Mommy and Aba love each other very much?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answer:<\/strong> Because like, you always, show it, like, when you\u2019re like upset or something, and mommy still loves you, even when she asks you to calm down and you don\u2019t. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question<\/strong>: What thing is most fun about mommy and what\u2019s most fun about Aba?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answer<\/strong>: Menny, <\/strong>Funnest about mommy, is buying us stuff and supporting us and Aba plays basketball, football and catch, sometimes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoshana, <\/strong>for mom dancing and for Aba his laugh<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question<\/strong>: What is something you love that mommy and Aba do together?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answer<\/strong>: Zeesy:<\/strong> They play with me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Shoshana, <\/strong>Argue \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question<\/strong>: Chana Laya<\/strong>, who do you like giving you a buddy (Yiddish for bath) Aba or Mommy?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answer<\/strong>: Aba. (which is ridiculous, as she only lets me bathe her, go figure<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question:<\/strong> Menny<\/strong>, what does love mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answe<\/strong>r: it means happiness and joyful<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Question: What do you wish Mommy and Aba on their 14th<\/sup> wedding anniversary?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy<\/strong>: They should have a good new year with us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya<\/strong>: They should be able to express themselves more than ever and recognize how amazing each other are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny<\/strong>: love gratefulness and appreciating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoshana:<\/strong> health and wealth and the romance shouldn\u2019t die<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question<\/strong>: What\u2019s something you wished Mommy and Aba did better?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answer<\/strong>: Chaya,<\/strong> Like, don\u2019t jump to conclusions, one of you may get mad at the other and it\u2019s just a misunderstanding. Sometimes they are just trying to help but you don\u2019t realize it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoshana:<\/strong> for mom to be easier on herself, and for Aba to be less catastrophizing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question<\/strong>: Is there a lesson you learned from Mommy and Aba that you\u2019ll always take with you through life?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answer: Chaya<\/strong>, Always be positive no matter the situation, when there\u2019s a problem, always see the positive, Tracht Gut Vet Zain gut (think good and it will be good) attitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoshana: <\/strong>from mom how to be empathetic and how to cook gluten free kugel, and from Aba the beauties of Judaism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Question: Zeesy<\/strong>, what is something special we do together as a family?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answer<\/strong>: Being together for dinner and saying what we are grateful for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question:<\/strong> Kiddos, what\u2019s your favorite thing on Mommy and Aba\u2019s wedding video?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy:<\/strong> Mommy and Aba and a lot of people eating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya<\/strong>: Seeing Bracha, my aunt, as such a little girl, and all the yummy food. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny<\/strong>: Seeing the men dancing, singing and seeing all the different cousins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question:<\/strong> Mommy and Aba got married in San Antonio, what do you love most about San Antonio?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny<\/strong>: seeing our cousins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya<\/strong>: seeing Bubby and Zaidy and all the family\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy:<\/strong> Seeing our cousins and Bubby and Zaidy and our aunts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question:<\/strong> What was your best family trip?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny:<\/strong> New York!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya<\/strong>: Each are very unique in different ways. It depends on what you\u2019re talking about\u2026which was most adventurous, which was most family time, which was most interesting\u2026it depends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy:<\/strong> The trip we are on right now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question:<\/strong> Shoshana, your oldest sibling is 15, but mommy and Aba are only married 14 years, how\u2019s that possible?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny:<\/strong> That\u2019s too hard for me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya<\/strong>? That\u2019s a dumb question, because Shoshana was adopted at age 12 which means that she was born before Mommy and Aba got married and so it all makes sense. Duh, I don\u2019t get why that\u2019s a question. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question: When mommy and Aba argue, how does that make you feel?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya<\/strong>: I get mixed feelings. Because I know that it will probably be sorted out but also it makes me annoyed when you\u2019re arguing when you have so much. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy:<\/strong> upset. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny<\/strong>: sad and upset and sometimes even mixed up feelings and kind of forgetful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question:<\/strong> How does mommy behave in the morning? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya:<\/strong> It depends on the day. Grumpy kinda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny<\/strong>: sometimes happy, sometimes sad and sometimes mad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy<\/strong>: ok. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoshana: <\/strong>grumpy <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question: How\u2019s Aba when things don\u2019t go his way?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny<\/strong>: not so good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy:<\/strong> upset. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya<\/strong>: Upset, but when mommy talks to him, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn\u2019t, but when it does, he realizes and changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoshana: <\/strong>defiant <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question: How does it make you feel that Mommy and Aba adopted you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya<\/strong>: Lucky and then mixed up but I\u2019m not sure why. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny<\/strong>: Good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy:<\/strong> Happy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoshana: <\/strong> grateful<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question:<\/strong> What\u2019s the best dish that Mommy cooks and the best one Aba makes?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny:<\/strong> Aba \u2013 stir fry, Mommy \u2013 sushi bowls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya:<\/strong> Mommy – meatballs and spaghetti, Aba – fried Schnitzel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy:<\/strong> Soup and hot dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Question:<\/strong> When you think of mommy and Aba what word comes to mind:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaya:<\/strong> Mommy \u2013 supercalifrotgastrdoicous (supportive). Aba – Sushi<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menny<\/strong>: Mommy \u2013Beautiful. Aba \u2013 fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zeesy:<\/strong> Mommy \u2013 hug and love, Aba \u2013 books. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoshana:<\/strong> Mom \u2013 tulips, Aba \u2013 sushi <\/p>\n\n\n\n
